international customers?
Yes. We can host any domain from any country
with any extension.
Can I use my account
for commercial purposes?
Yes, you can use your account for commercial
purposes. In fact all of our shared hosting accounts are
provided with secure server access. Any sensitive
information such as credit card information will be
encrypted before transmission through a web browser. SSL
will light up the key in your customer's browser,
greatly increasing customer trust when buying from your
site. Your SSL link will look something like this:

Can I use my account
to host adult material?
No. No adult material is allowed on the servers.
Sites found to have adult material are cancelled
immediately.
How long does it take
to set up a new account?
Accounts are setup within 24 hours. Once an
account is set up an activation notice will be sent to
you via e-mail. You can begin uploading files to the
server immediately thereafter.
Will you register my
domain name for me?
To check the availability of a particular domain
name go to register.ultrasurge.com.
We can register the following top level domains: .com,
.net, .org, .biz, .info, .ws, .nu, .bz, .us. We
can host any domain name with any extension, but if it
ends with any other extension you will have to register
the domain name through another registrar. The cost for
registering a domain name through us is listed at register.ultrasurge.com.
How do I
"transfer" my domain to ULTRAsurge.com?
To transfer web hosting companies, update the
name server information for your domain name at your
registrar to the name servers listed at the bottom of
your Activation Notice. To transfer Registrars, go to register.ultrasurge.com
and click "Transfer My Domains."
How long does it take
before my domain name is active?
Once your registrar announces that your domain
name has been registered (or transferred, if
applicable), the information in their database is shared
with the Internet's zone files world wide; this sharing
process is called "propagation." The zone
files are propagated with new information daily, seven
days a week, 365 days a year. We nor your registrar
cannot control the rate at which the MILLIONS of DNS
tables on the Internet are updated. The propagation
process should be complete within 72 hours after your
registrar updates their database.
Will I be able to
access my domain name with and without the www?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain name
with or without the www in front. For example, you could
access the domain name "yourdomain.ext" by
going to "www.yourdomain.ext" as well as
"yourdomain.ext."
Will I have unlimited
access to update my pages?
You have unlimited access 24-hours a day via FTP
and FrontPage.
Is there a minimum
contract term?
The minimum contract term is the time period you
have prepaid. If you have prepaid for 3 months, then the
minimum contract term is 3 month. Likewise, if you have
prepaid for 1 month, then the minimum contract term is 1
month.
Can I resell my own
space?
Yes. You can resell space within your account.
However, you will be responsible for its content and
data transfer.
Can multiple domains
point to the same HTML files?
Yes, we offer Domain Stacking whereby additional
domain names can point to an existing web hosting
account. The domain name that will be shown in the web
browsers address bar will be the stacked domain name and
NOT your main domain name. There is a $1/month fee for
each stacked domain.
What kind of
technical support do you offer?
For problems with the server not responding or
not function correctly we provide support by e-mail and
support tickets. Allow 24 hours for response. Average
time is currently less than 15 minutes. All other
problems and questions should be directed to Customer
Service. Customer Service will respond within a few
minutes to a couple of hours.
